I woke up in the middle of the night on Monday night because it didn't dawn on me originally, that there might be corroboration for our conversation. There might a tape. My judgment was, I need to get that out into the public square. I asked a friend of mine to share the content of the memo with a reporter. Didn't do it myself for a variety of reasons. I asked him to because I thought that might prompt the appointment of a special counsel. I asked a close friend to do it."

Your 1st post wasn't about his Memo's it was about the dinner..

The existence of the memos was first reported on May 16, 2017 and document conversations between Comey and President Donald Trump.

The memo's were not leaked until May 16th Sherlock.

The contents of the May 11th NYT article, surely matches the "memo" of Comey. Sources close to him said this happened at the dinner and this too. And Comey said there was only two people at the dinner. The tape tweet was released the next day on the 12th.

While its possible he had zero to do with the leak, I also think its better than 50% that he did get that leak out there.

it was pointed out in the press right after he said it that he lied. that doesn't mean Trump isn't a dickhead. It means Comey lied under oath as the former FBI Director about his actions as FBI Director. that is a big deal. Don't worry. Trump is still a dick.

From what I recall from the testimony i heard in my car, he said under oath that he gave his buddy permission to report it BEFORE Trumps tweet about him and the FBI on the 16th (so it didn't appear retaliatory/politically motivated) and it was proven that he did it AFTER Trumps tweet (a day later) on the 17th.

The Dinner on the 11th was part of the memo, so it's fucking impossible for him to have leaked it "BEFORE" the dinner... Trump is playing you fools and it's easy to do because you "WANT" to be played the fool..

It's just amazing how we have two sides and they see things differently... Republicans gloss over the fact that our Attorney General, who is the country's top legal position, lied about meeting the Russians under oath and they gloss over it and then they try to find fault in Comey's testimony.

What ever. We are five months into Trump's administration and have five different investigations, and this is getting worse. This started with the Russians but it's quickly becoming obstruction of justice. No matter what happens at this point, we are having multiple investigations - these are serious, large, and far reaching. Who knows what they are going to discover.

Wait until they start putting people under oath.
