This is what the future is about. I never joined Paxum because I didn't like the scans and all the verification shit, now Upwork is starting verification processing for freelancers by asking questions via video chat, my ass. Are you the fucking new world authority? What is the fuck?
Video verification, retina scan and anal probes . . .

- There are too many fake people on the Internet.
- As for linking social media this allows someone to see if you are a raving lunatic -- use a 'clean' profile with no negativity.
- World governments are looking for hidden income that they can tax -- that should be obvious.
- Then there is terrorist mania driven by big data.

When you rent an hotel room overseas they want to copy your passport , domestically the hotel/motel will want ID -- so what is the problem? That's the way things are.Comment

Not everywhere, mate. Some places are nuts about it tho.
Slovakia and CZ for example are sick. Italy is easier, you just fill in the electronic form the number of your document.
And hey, I still feel uncomfortable, I may show my ID but making them scan it is epic. You share your info with someone you will not see again, you give your personal details to someone you know nothing about. I don't trust concierges. In fact, in EU there are case people find out later they have loans they never asked about.Русня, идите нахуй!Comment

I like official video confirmations, providing I can surprise them by being totally naked and taking a poo when they connect. Their expressions are priceless

Introduction video to be correct. Basically, you need to say something like my name is John and i like turtles.
Also, i deleted recently my linkedin profile because i was annoyed by constant spam from it, i hope they wont notice it and remove my verified status.Comment

There service, their rules???
Too many cheap, fake fuckers on the internet who think they can just "play around" and not be held accountable for their actions.
You should really try to take off that tin foil hat every now and then...----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

See? It must me something soon to protect people from 'services' that collect personal info.
I do not fucking know anything about Airbnb. If it was asking me to submit my IDs I would never do that and stayed with Booking or started simply calling places to rent.
As to Upwork, it's total BS, no bank would do that video chat shit recording, it's epic what internet has become.
As a Generation X I refuse to give away my personal info to someone I don't even met, heard and have protection against. I'm not a robot yet to just show up my ass for a scan.
In fact, as to religious bastards, they are allowed legally to get by without any ID number at all just fucking because their Jesus said so.Русня, идите нахуй!Comment

I would walk away when my end of the deal is trivial -- not worth the possible downside.
The greeting video is a bit much but it is somewhat understandable -- a picture should be a reasonable substitute.
The problem on the Internet is anonymity in most transactions. There are so many jackasses collecting data that your, or my, concerns of unauthorized access or theft are justified.Comment

But anyway, airbnb was most anal verification process which i had to done. Usually on most services is enough to send ID and you are good to go.
