    Having 2 New Kittens is Like..

    Is like having to babysit my 4 year old niece, times two.

    After I had gotten back from Internext, I picked up two kittens I had agreed to adopt. One 12, other 14 weeks. One Siamese, and the other tabby I think. I have only ever owned Siamese cats, so I am unfamiliar with some of the others.

    I picked up the Tabby because the Siamese is very jumpy and anti social. I figured with two of them, and in this big empty house, they would be able to entertain each other.

    I am wondering when the 23 hour nap days start in? Fuckin A.....

              Lol, I feel your pain. I have two myself 4 and 6 months. They sleep all day, but as soon as i lay down to go to sleep, they wake up and start wrecking the house.

                                      I have one kitten and she's a psycho. I have turned into her climbing post/jungle gym. My legs are 90% scratches, 10% skin, my arms are full of scratches, my back is full of scratched, I've went through 3 telephone headsets due to her chewing through the cables, she attacks my lcd tv whenever I play Call of Duty 4 and World at War and the list goes on. I don't allow her in the bedroom when I'm trying to sleep since would get no sleep if she was in her due to her attacking my fingers, feet and face. When I walk around she's at my feet all the time biting and shit.

                                              They definitely have a personality. All of them have shared it. Nothing like some growling, and hissing in the dark to share the shit out of you. Even if you are only half awake, and she is little bigger than my hand.

                                                      Also when they are not flying through the air, running across the counter, house, floor to tackle one another, jumping on my head from the second floor as I walk up the stairs, fighting while I sleep, or hiding under the treadmill.

                                                                                                  I adopted 3 psycho kitties who were the sweetest things when they were asleep, but sounded like a herd of buffalo when running through the house ambushing each other when they played. One of the best investments was a 3 story cat tree shaped like a tree. It gave them a designated place to duke it out.

                                                                                                          You really have to watch out with the reclining chairs. I know of a few kittens (and ferrets) who have gone out that way and its NOT pretty.

                                                                                                                                              I miss her terribly, but everytime I sit on my comfy clean and shit/piss free sofa now I really enjoy it.

                                                                                                                                              and I am not scared when I say commands my dogs, worried about their reaction.... dogs are not as evil.

Heck, my pug just turned 3 and my spaniel will next month and I swear I worry about what would happen if I ever have to go out of the house to work. They take so much attention I feel like I need to be a work at home mom and I don't even have real kids.

Giving them a bath after they get into something they shouldn't is a whole new experience. One of ours loves to get in the shower.. When my husband is in it...

They have their favorite spot at the top of the stairs. But they have plenty of other places and I have clawed back, neck, arms to prove it.

                                                                                                                                                                              Any case the animal rescue had for NOT declawing them is pretty much out the window.

The chick at animal rescue showed me that is one of the few things she will come out of her shell to do.

                                                                                                                                                                                  She is getting much better the past couple of days. It took some isolation treatment, and moving the cat litter box, and such to a small bedroom to get them to start getting more comfortable.

                                                                                                                                                                                      My wife got two kittens last year from the animal shelter. Unfortunately one died and we took one tomcat from Spain and another kitten four weeks ago. They didn´t like each other until we tried this laser pointer thing. Now they have even become friends with my Labradors. But it seems we need a new sofa and some new curtains.
