    Niche Sites: Free Advice 4 U

    Here is a free tip. I had remembered it from a discussion I was having at Internext....

    If you are looking to TRULY get into the adult business, or niche market, and be successful. Here is what you need to do.

    1. Stop trying to be all things to all people.

    Go look at clips4sale, or try and break down general porn into a micro niche. Instead of lesbians, do cheerleader lesbians. Instead of trying to be all things foot fetish. Pick one thing.

    1. Cast Fetish only.
    2. High Heels only.
    3. Soles only.
    4. Flip Flops only.
    5. Boots only.
    6. Balloons.
    7. Trampling only.
    8. Pedal Pumping only.

    Some of those you could do with just a single girl, and a camera if so inclined and understand the fetish. You are not going to be high volume, but you are going to be very nichey, and have a lot of re-billing mofo's.

    Add in the option for members to send in custom scripts, and requests, and you can make even more money. Start buy shooting enough to do at least one clips4sale update a week until you have enough content to launch a paysite.

    Do not pay girls by the scene. Recruit accordingly.

      excellent advice

      foot fetish is something ive never understood, but i know there is about 10 niches inside the foot fetish niche. Same goes with everything else too and I think people are afraid to go to niche because they fear there will be no traffic or sites to trade traffic with.

          I agree, it is indeed the best specially in this economy however I don't get this bit:

          "Do not pay girls by the scene. Recruit accordingly."

          What is your suggestion regarding payout for the girls? by session? by the hour? and with recruit accordingly you mean as needs arise, or girls fitting the niche?

                              I could break down other niches, as well, but I mainly deal with feet. So easier for me to break it down. Plus, none of these are a threat to me. I have my niche, and not interested in being all things to all people.

                              Plus, I can't say I fully understand all those listed. I get requests for many of them, and turn them down. Simply because I do not understand them, and it's a waste of my time and money.

                              But start thinking on a smaller scale... micro niche within a niche,.... and you will not have big sales. But you will remain in business. You will have a solid, loyal, base of customers, and over time you will be the queen of that market.

                                  Why limit yourself unless your trying to keep everyone down. I have been doing custom videos for 7+ years now. Tapping finger nails or ripping clothes off and even eating a pizza LOL,

                                          I suppose your niche is different to my niche, in so far as you can shoot feet pretty much without a break, but with mine I need to wait at least half hour or more between shoots...

                                          Ive maximized the downtime though shooting 'Hidden Camera' voyeur content while the girls prepare to go again...

                                                      One of the things I took from Internext, and honestly believe in, is that this industry just has to get used to being smaller.

                                                      The millionaire gold rush is over. You will have to be happy making your $250-500k a year (or whatever it is). The point is not the dollar amount. The bottom line comes down to you have to specialize, and stop thinking adult is a winning lotto ticket.

                                                      If you have knock back a few hundred thousand, attend shows, and stay in business. That will be what success is regarding the adult biz. The days of knocking porn dead with some naked girls, a website, and traffic are done.

                                                      The heavier insulated, the better.

                                                          I was on another forum today... Theres a guy saying he has £30,000 to invest in content to launch a site... So far hes been shooting content and spent over 3K...

                                                          He apparently has a couple of B/G vids (Him and the girl... Not a pro stud) and a couple of vanilia solo masturbation vids.... Plus he's spent over £1000.00 on a site design.. (But he hasn't even got a server or a URL yet...) yup... Go figure

                                                          Anyway, the vultures are circling on him and his remaining £26,000.00... But thats to be expected !

                                                          Im due to launch my micro niche fetish site on Feb first... Its NOT a members site... But a pay per download.... (Initially, with billing by verotel and password-by-phone)

                                                          I launch with 11 Diff girls, (All well known pornstars) all UNKNOWN within the fetish, and approx 18 / 20 half hour videos (Plus 'free' downloadable zips of pics... When buying a video)

                                                                      I been planning for some time to start a adult members website and have been doing some shoots with models to get content together. Thing is I don`t have lots of time and am just an amature so is taking longer than thought it would to get enough stuff to setup.

                                                                      Someone said to me you can`t start a new site with less than 30k if you are serious and someone else said it would need 30k just for enough content to go set up with. Ok so I now done only 16 model shoots. I had 30k to do this and so far 3k gone on equipment over 3k gone on models and a few hundred on some studio cost, paying 1k to someone to design and set up a site with management thing.

                                                                      What am looking to ask is this, should I keep shooting models keep collecting my content together and like take ages before will be ready, or would it be best to buy some content to get enough to start the site sooner? Other thing I was thinking about was what if was to buy a ready made website then I would just need to add content to it and would have enough already for updates for a while but how much would it cost for to buy a existing site and where do you go to buy one, do people sell them or would it only be rubbish ones getting sold? Sorry so many questions there but trying to decide what to do before spending more money.

                                                                      Sorry for lack of info. I have been shooting different shoots, done two short g/g shoots probably do more but rest is solo using toys, some is shot in studios some in models homes. Stills and videos, videos are better than the stills.

                                                                      What happened was it is something i wanted to do and someone said would need 30k to have a chance, so I had some savings which I started to use knowing that I also had a bond that would mature at end of 2008 which would then give me rest of funds, so i started doing shoots and getting some content together but now that I have the rest of my money I want to be certain of making the best decision before going all in. I really do not know about marketing.

                                                                      The 1k for website is to design site and do a management system thatlets me easy upload content and easy program to do updates months in advance and stuff, really good system apparently and aswell i get full tech support for a year and they will help set up membership area and everything so is a good price.

                                                                      Have not bought domain name yet or looked into hosting, was thinking content first no point anything else until got enough content. Did put a bid in for a good domain name that is for sale but not heard back.

Its NOT a webmaster forum where anyone has any GENUINE knowledge or experience... Its a fan forum of wannabees, running WP blogs n stuff (With Default themes) that all *think* they know best...

                                                                                          With ZERO real life knowledge themselves ! If I jumped in and offered to help, or even just recommended a REAL forum... (Which I could do, as its not 'un-allowed') it would just make me look like another vulture !

                                                                                                                              If you don't love and understand the niche, there is a good chance you won't do well at it.

                                                                                                                              Jumping on a niche because everyone else is or because you *think* there is money in it, is not always a good idea. True fanatics can spot the posers and your sales will suffer accordingly.

                                                                                                                                  i looked into niches very deeply before even buy a domain. first thing you should do is find something you like and niche it down to a smaller niche even micro niche if needed.

                                                                                                                                  Examples: you like big tits, so big tits will be your niche, but what to do with them big tits?
                                                                                                                                  have them oiled, cummed on, fake, real, pierced, tan lines.
                                                                                                                                  public sex(a niche in itself) but where? busses, cinema, streets, cabs, etc

                                                                                                                                  Find what you like and find one thing in that niche to use.

                                                                                                                                  This is the KEY chose to just do big tits and your site will be recieving a truck load of fail for not getting specific visitors

                                                                                                                                          I just used the niche I know. But I am sure tits, blondes, assholes, etc all have smaller pieces. Even sex. Narrow it down to only doggie, or whatever.
