    V2 portfolio and get your site reworked for free!

    2008 was my apprenticeship year. I did a lot of designs for a lot of people.
    2009 starts with a reworked portfolio. I set myself the challenge of making the best looking portfolio I could in 1 DAY!! +1 extra day for adding content.

    The competition

    Here is your chance to have your piece of shit website reworked. And it has to be a piece of shit. We want to turn the most embarassing site you have into something you can be proud of. What ever you need, you got it. If its a paysite we will do the tour/galleries/banner pack.. the whole job. If its a forum.. we will make you a sexy skin. But I need to stress again. YOUR SITE HAS TO BE GOD-DAMN AWFUL. It has to make my eyes bleed when I look at it.

    The rules
    1. You have to have a piece of shit website. It has to be famous for being shit. And of course.. it has to be YOUR website. And tell me why your site is shitter than everyone elses.

    2.Well I think it takes the piss to enter my competition if you havnt even visited my portfolio. So that is one condition of entry. You must visit my portfolio and prove it somehow. Post a link to a design i did that you liked. Tell me ive made a Typo. Quote something funny from my FAQ.

    3. That's it! This competition ends in 7 days. SO thats wednesday at 5pm my local time. I'm GMT+1 .... The winner is effectivly chosen by me, but public opinion will also sway my decision heavily. The winner will be contacted and we will make it happen!

                          It will be interesting to see who can check their ego at the door and submit one of their sites that looks like "ASS"... and I don't mean that in a good way

                          This is a very creative way to introduce your new portfolio and design service. Best of luck to you in 2009. You should have plenty of cleaning up to do here

                                                                                                                          1. My site is shittier than a rat's ass: www.costumecuties.com. The original designer and webmaster kinda tossed this together on his own, according to him he "coded by hand" which I don't even know what that means, it's probably a euphemism for "didn't give a shit, took the money and ran." Check out the site, I dare you. Get this noise, when you tour you see these neat (well by 'neat' I mean 'better than nothing') thumbnails to show new content, though you can't do much with them...however when you join and actually pay for the membership, you get no thumbnails. Not a one. Only a list of video titles with no description. In fact the member section doesn't look a damned thing like the preview section. Oh and don't you love that the frontpage is one lone pic, with no real info about the site, except for a banner I half assed put together bc, well, I'm not a designer. Sweet huh!

I LOVE the Play With Paris layout (http://gimme-website.com/v2/?p=63 : http://www.playwithparis.com) Also you mentioned "it is your responsibility to intergrate" I think you mean "integrate" (hey, you asked to hear about typos :p). I know what you mean about being too nice and spending hours with "those" types of clients, as a freelance photographer I deal with them all too frequently.

Its got all the junk stuff removed that i dont want. A few CSS edits and hey presto! Thats why I love wordpress too, its so flexible and you can make something special really quickly. V2 portfolio was built in 1 DAY!
