Ah, the gigs I have seen there. Possibly the sweatiest venue I have been to but with great atmosphere and good view of the stage from just about anywhere.

One of the funniest gigs I have been to was at the Astoria. It was Cradle of Filth and the gay night club night was going to start right afterwards. This is back when you could smoke in there. During the encore they started spraying the smell of strawberries into the place to 'clean out' the metal guy smell. All these 'tough' metal guys started going 'I smell strawberries?'.Comment

I guess..it is very near the existing Tottenham Court Road underground station (like next door) and I think that is all being revamped. It is one of the most cluster fuck prone stations on the line so I can understand it needing to be brought up to date. I hate getting off the train there but it is one of those that you just need to use sometimes.Comment
