Don't go too cheap or your galleries load time will suck. I pay .70 gig and even though I could go a little cheaper, quality bandwidth will pay for itself.

Not to stir up a war, but I have found rackshack to be 100% reliable. For me, it seems the MAJORITY (Read: Not All) of the problems I see people complain about are self-inflicted. If you know how to admin a box, it's a great deal, and good bandwidth. People put them down all the time, but it's worked out great for me.Originally posted by HQ

You need good reliability because you could get banned if they load really slow, or are down all the time. No TGP wants to link to stuff like that. Besides, surfers are impatient. When you have 20 galleries in a row that load in 0.1 seconds, and yours takes 5... see ya!Comment

Yes, I have already seen this war before. I good friend of mine who definitely knows how to admin a box and has for years had major problems with rackshack's support. His server crashed so much that he coded scripts to let me know when the server went down.Originally posted by Dusen

Well I am kinda set. I started this thread to see if $0.60/GB is ok, or if I should go cheaper. Lots of webmasters use freehosts so they pay $0.00/GB. I wanted to see what webmasters who host their own galleries typically pay.Comment
