The readers get your name, address, birth date, everything about you except your social. It's the biggest info scam going down right in your face. And when confronted with the device, most will allow it because "everybody else is doing it" and what person doesn't want to enter a club after parking and waiting in line for an hour?
What a great info scam.
The other guy at the door probably has a credit card reader at his desk, so they can get you personal info along with your credit card digits.
I see the readers all the time at clubs and flashy youth driven bars.
They should be sued.

I donīt see why you think itīs a scam for a professional door supervisor to check all your id, if trouble occurs, the club has all your ID...
This is good, not a bad thing
Most door supervisors are on anything between $15 and $100 an hour in the UK, theyīre not interested in scamming. Most doormen make between $100 and $500 a night in GBP obviously.
