Sorry to hear about your losses and situation. I know how it is to struggle and was in a bad spot myself not too long ago. Just remember it's the tough times that make us all stronger and better people. Those that never had to struggle don't have a clue!
Now that I am able to pay all of my bills on time, I feel the need to try to help someone else get out of that hole also.
I sent you some money via paypal. I don't have much extra but I do have extra and if I can spend $4 for a pack of smokes I sure can afford to send you some money to at least eat with or pay part of their rent etc.
No worries about paying me back, you have enough to deal with as it is!!

If someone appears credible and is willing to work, I don't see any harm in throwing a couple of bucks his way. Most scammers I've seen try to make themselves appear as established and as credible as possible.. not come asking for some work or spare change.
