it seems like every year time is flying by faster and faster, i just dont get it.

Same here. I'm fairly sure that as a teen, I've had several summer days last longer than the entire past year did.

damn, I never thought of that, and I guess logic follows that 57 is pretty much overnight from there, and 67....

it is true though, life is really short in the broad scope of things, you feel like youre just getting started still and yet time goes by leaving you wondering how it all went by so fast

Because when you were 14, one year was only 1/14 meaning ~ 7% of your life so far

when you're, say, 28, one year is around 3.5% of your current life

that's how it is, time flies faster when you're older...

Try having kids. I can't believe my oldest boy is going to be 4 this year already. It seems like it wasn't all that long ago that I was announcing his birth here on GFY and now I'm enrolling him into school.

It's even worse (I'd imagine) for my family who only seem them from time to time. Because a few months go by and the kids get so much bigger. They're left wondering how time had gone by so quickly.
