Business Ordered on eBay delivered by Amazon WTF

Can someone please explain what is going on here and how the seller is making money.

I purchased this item on eBay Elmer's E304 4 oz/ 118.2 ml Washable No Run School Glue, White | eBay for £2.82 with free delivery on Wednesday. It came today delivered by Amazon (in Amazon packaging)

I found this item on Amazon which looks identical. https://www.amazon.co.uk/d/Art-Glues...ool/B000Q3KHCM for £2.05 with free delivery if the buyer spends over £20.

Is the seller advertising on eBay and then purchasing on my behalf from an Amazon seller and making 77p minus shipping charges?

    Risky, but 69 sold @ 2.82 @ Amazon for 2.05 = .77 but ebay will have some fees on that but still probably .50 profit x 69 = $34.00

Maybe they do this with lots of items or there is of course the possibility they ran out of stock and rather than cancel your order which results in a ding on ebay they bought off Amazon to fulfill your order.

IMO the 2nd is more plausible but the 1st is possible..

edit.. actually he's doing the 1st.. another item he has for sale is listed @ 9.99 on ebay but same item on Amazon is $4.27 he's sold 51 of that current listing. My bet is he finds something that has cross platform profits and lists small amounts like 50 or 60 then relists when he runs out. That's $5 per item profit roughly after fees so $255 in profits from what he's sold.

Not a bad little free money gig. I don't think he can get in trouble either because he's not using prime for the free shipping but the sellers offer free shipping @ Amazon.

What he's doing is not uncommon as far as cross platform sales, I've bought items on ebay and resold them on Amazon before, but I've never seen anyone do it like he is which is basically use Amazon as a drop shipper.. Pretty smart TBH, but lots of research needed to find items..

Ok, but unless I am reading it wrong. If he is buying off Amazon he would have to pay the shipping unless he has over £20 of orders right?

So lets presume he is selling loads and can get free shipping how easy is it to go into Amazon and load the info from eBay.
Sounds like a right pain for a few pence or pound.

No.. Some sellers offer free shipping, you just buy from the seller offering free shipping.

The difference here is he's using Amazon as a drop shipper, I personally haven't seen anyone do that. He only has 3 items listed, so he's not doing anything with crazy volume.

To some bored council estate housewife or skint student, 50 items a day = about £40 per day/£250 per week in their sky that I doubt they report to the taxman.

Fair play to them I say if they are scrabbling for dough

The business is listed as Bulgaria but they ship from the UK (obviously).

Report it to eBay. Sellers must have possession of items listed for sale.

And I would leave a negative that says "Item received from Amazon. Seller doesn't actually have items."

Thats how scamers cash out amazon gift cards they purchased with stolen credit cards. But on a large scale. Not sure this is the case.

how does the cancellation works ?

i mean if customer cancelled the item after its dispatched. so he cancelled with ebay. then middle man cancelled the order on amazon., but the item is not going to the middle man, so he cant decline the package. but what if the customer accepts delivery.

                              wtf, its complicated situation.

middle man doesnt have proof that he sent the item except tracking code.,
