I spent 4 nights at my inlaws over the holidays away from work and the computer. It was with family but I have a baby so I had help and it was free
Other than that it was last april when I went to FL for a week to visit my family (with a 3 month old infant). -
real vacation: no family visiting, no computer, no work... 7 years ago when I went to Panama.
Next week I'm going on my first real vacation since, but it will be a short one, just 5 days.
I'm seriously needing it... I've been a little stressed out and grumpy
Blaming it on the work overload, and hoping the vacation will bring back the old Czarina!

er... away from laptop? Had to have been summer 2002. Camping in Yellowstone.
Since Persian Kitty began in Sept 1995, there have been exactly 20 days that I have not personally updated the site myself.
Yes, I'm very anal and controlling.

About 3 years. I spent 2 weeks in NYC with my best friend, and although I did have my laptop with me, I only used it for getting directions, buying tickets for shows, etc.gone. long gone.

Impossible. Anyone who feels confident in stepping away from their business for 7 days, 2 weeks or whatever doesn't fucking have one. That is a fact, no exceptions. TGP smacktards don't count as business owners, minimum 6 figures pa and a registered company, sorry.
The closest thing I get to a vacation is 10 minute breaks in front of the computer throughout the day. The rest of the time I'm maintaining shit, calling suppliers, running errands, and calling chinese whores for a quick $20 bbbj. It's 6:15am right now and I've been flicking between this board and youtube for the past 10 minutes, so I gotta get back to work. Compared to a lot of people, I have it easy...Comment

Mid October. I had a complete burn out, and just DID NOT WANT TO WORK... I went down to Cornwall for about a week. Stayed in a nice hotel, and went walking on the beaches...
No laptop, no phone, no nothing... And when I came home... I felt a lot better... Before that it would be a cruise to the caribbean... In about 1994!
I work WAY too much LOLComment

Even on vacation, I still have to check in and do some little bit of work. My assistants can't do everything, and I have to make sure there is no errors or some shit effecting sales. But I keep it to below an hour a day when on vacation.
That said, I was on Disney vacation beginning of December 2008. It was nice. Disney makes it feel like you left the rest of the world behind, and are in Disney World... literally.Comment
