    $1 trial increases chargebacks?

    Those that have a $1 trial membership, have you seen an increase in chargebacks?

    It seems more people would be willing to call their credit card and do a chargeback once their trial membership ends and they realize they have to pay full price. What do you guys think?

          i don´t think so...


          i think the thieves think they can get away with $1 not showing up on credit cards if they´ve stolen them, not that i´ve noticed them.

              Yes, when trial period ends, and normal charges apply. It also "bites" (signals RyuLion to jump in here) into the bottom line.

                  I think it's safe to assume there are a certain percentage of people who sign up for the trial offer and have no idea that it automatically rebills--in some cases for an amount that's more than a regular monthly subscription. This would probably lead to a higher risk of receiving chargebacks.
