strange you say this, it´s not just you, it´s everyone & it´s for different tweets different times...

you can see this model tweeted a photo, it didn´t display, then the next is a retweet from someone else with same model, no show but then the other tweet by same model, the image displays...

not sure why, been testing it on my own since reading your thread
