There's a website of mine didn't have any kind of PR for about 3 months but was getting, on average, around 15,000 hits from SE's alone. Then I have another mainstream project that was listed as a PR2 within a couple/few weeks of throwing it out to the SE's but the traffic still wasn't where I liked it to be (around 1,000 SE hits a day).Last edited by Babagirls; 12-21-2008, 09:28 AM.

Here are some tips for you
#1 - never buy nor sell links. You may not get caught today but you ** WILL ** eventually get hit. Right now a guy who bought links is sitting on the #1 spot for two very nice keyword phrases. And it was revealed (on another board) that he bought links for SEO purposes and what do you want to be his competition reported his ass? Of course they did. I know if he was competing for my keywords I would have reported his ass. LOL So anywho, all that money he spent to buy those links will now be the amount of money he spent to get his ass either penalized in Google or very possibly banned. Dumb ass.
#2 - Ignore everything everyone ever told you about this concept called "page rank". It really isn't all that important anymore. Instead focus on building a QUALITY website that makes a person who may visit your website want to stay because trust me, the unseen, hidden SEO trick is the "Bounce Rate". Improve your site so that people that do find you from Google will not leave the second they land on your website. Instead they will love your website so much that your bounce rate will be below 50%. I have porn star websites with bounce rates as low as 15%. If you don't know your bounce rate, go install Google analytics.
Design your website around your visitors, not the search engines.
