Because the image is wrong. There should be a huge fence between the rich and the poor.
There are a few like me who can create a business on their own and fight their way up the levels, some have done a lot better than me.
Today those options are disappearing fast. The poor aren't unlucky, the loss of their income is planned. Companies putting in machines instead of people or just moving overseas to the Third World isn't about luck, it's being planned.
Mass migration meaning low wage jobs now pay even less is again a planned strategy.
1970 no one cared, that instead of buying a jacket made in the US for $100 people could buy one made in China for $50. Even though it put tailors in the US out of work.
Now we fly on planes that are partly made in China, go to China for Space Exploration, face a growing threat of China and NK's military power. A very soon China will overtake the US in GDP. And already some of the biggest banks in the world are Chinese.
None of that was down to luck, it was planned and we stood by and allowed it.
No matter how well you're doing today, our customer base is shrinking because our customers are unable to afford to buy as much as they could.
