It doesn't fucking matter if I was to give 20K for a god damn 5 min. shoot. I have done business with phil in the past, meaning he brought me girls to film, I filmed them and then had the content. This time he has ripped me off to date. Meaning any dollar amount would have insignificant outcome to my current predicament. All that was required was for these girls to pick up a camera and film themselves.
This site is an amateur site... I WANT the amateur feel to the film.
BTW... I don't know who you provide content for but in the days when programs which use to make 25K a month now make 2K are your fees warranted? Just asking manComment

on the other hand amateur feel or not... your talking 2 scenes for 1700 bucks? thats super cheap.. you can be mad as hell at no call back all you want.. but for that price the content was good..... 850 a scene? thats super cheap for exclusive content... shit that would be cheap for cell phone footage.. don't take it the wrong way.... im just saying if you got scenes for that cheap in the past and he just now ripped you off.. id say you still got your money worth in the long run...
as for who I shoot for... I am sure everyone would like to know who I am shooting for now a days besides myself...
they pay well, don't complain and make well over 2k a month but i'd never tell.. just if you hired me to shoot we'd have our NDA between the two of us and id never tell either would you....
im not saying im the best content shooter out there... many many better than I .... but I'm also damn sure ill give you a converting product to sell... you could pay a good shooter 4k per scene and you will make it back..Comment

looks like bad tape to me .. low grade 8 mm tape. keep in mind that they stopped making these camera well over 10 years ago .. and the tae stock was very adhisive ... Dirty tape heads was very common with 8 mm .. they hadn't yet perfected small tape head drums and transports. Hense why the 8 mm was qucikly followed by super8 .. the best camera for this format was the canon L1. kind of the grandfather of the XL1.
I wouldn't expect any better resolution from an 8 mm recording regardless if it was shot last week or last decade. Also analog transfer to digital compression isn't the best, isn't the best, also a low quicktime compression doesn't help matters any...

correction .. tape stock wasn't very adhesive (hense lots of lost particles in the tape transport = dirty heads, lags, and drop outs.
Also these cameras were not know for they're low light capabilities ..
On the subject of you being ripped off? I think you got exactly what you paid for .. and As Danza said, I would not look at my cameras direction for that type of money. Yo got off cheap.. it's a bitch that you got ripped.. however that's the price of doing business in an industry filled with scammers and scum bags.
Consider yourself luckly .. I as a content producer/provider have been screwed over for way more then 850$ .. i think my highest fuck over in the adult biz is 3000$ + and in broadcast was 15 000$ +
them the breaks .. you learn to roll with the punches and hire the right people for the job .. I wouldn't charge 2000 per for soft content like that .. but it sure as hell wouldn't be under 1000$ oh and a single order scene wouldn't get you a good rate.
BTW the style of the content would reduce the price somewhat but not considerbly3D-VR live webcams
