I'd think you'd want a set of good handcuffs.

If you subdue an attacker, you want to be able to restrain them until the authorities arrive. You know the guy is going to be thinking "how can I get out of this?" Will he run, attack, grab a hostage?

Sometimes, the police take as long as an hour to respond. I would want to be sure the attacker is lying face down with hands handcuffed behind him and me pointing my weapon at him from behind and out of his range of sight.

Just a thought for safety.

No handcuffs, but if i've "subdued" and attacker, He wont be running. I have license to C.C.W. where I live. When I took the saftey course the first thing they told us was "Don't pull it out unless you are absolutly positive you have to shoot the person in question, and if you shoot, make it count."
We were taught also that the first shot should be aimed at the chest/stomach area, the second shot into the same general area and any third shot should it have to be fired, should be ment to 100% put a stop to the situation.
You are not allowed to shoot anyone in the back unless they are an immediate threat to the person in fromt of them, then its ok.
Never unload your firearm on one person. lol 2 is understandable.
Licensed now to CCW for almost 3 years, never once pulled it and trust me, I kinda want to.

Though I should say, If the suspect or attacker should become compliant instantly upon the gun being drawn, you are not allowed to shoot them, even if they wait till your not looking and make a break for it. You can only shoot at threats. otherwise, youre in deep shit.

I'm funner than AIDS, and easier to explain to your parents.

You've got it all wrong. I'm sure no one here is even considering going out and finding a person to brutaly murder.

If you are found in my house, I can guarantee shots will be fired.
