same thing happened to me ...lost for 3 month then i moved out my house and trashed the couch where he was hidding ... a girl i know picked the couch in front of my house and 2 weeks later she woke up in the nigh went to the bathroom and found my 6 feet python nest to her toilet... she called the cops.

Animals belong in the wild. Breeding them so other people can keep them in cages too is something I don't personally agree with.

Sorry to hear about your snake! I had a 3 ft water monitor that I had nursed back to health for weeks, only to have it get out the night we had a freak cold snap in So Cal, the dog found it the next day.

I do want to address the folks who think that these animals do not belong captive. I'm the guy who goes to the zoo and wants to break everything loose btw, so, don't assume you know what I'm thinking. Zoo's piss me the fuck off until I had one experience seeing a primate interact with his caretaker and I could just see that this animal fucking CHERISHED the guy that took care of him. You could see it in his eyes. Anyways, I still hate zoos, but, I guess they can be managed in the right way.
Breeding these snakes ensures their survival. It cuts down on the demand on the wild. People in Africa that don't see $100 a year normally can make a fortune overnight by taking these animals from thier natural habitat. Its up to the people in the pet trade to stop buying imported animals. There is no need to at this point. And that wouldn't be possible with the work people are doing with captives, which are amazing, smart pets, not some fucked up puppymill.
Its neat to see people spout off shit about things they know nothing about.

Don't pay them any mind...
Next time a snake is loose put masking tape horizontally and vertically in a few rooms. It will slither its was through it and get stuck. When you find said snake, use warm water to get it loose.
Doesn't hurt the snake and actually really works well. Got the tip from Kevin (NERD).....

awww, my condolences. i've lost a couple snow corns in recent years. 6 months was a long time for your little guy to make it out of the cage without the heat needed. guess this weather finally caught up with him

Yah tried that one, also tried little lines of baby powder just so I can get a trail to even know where to concentrate the motion detectors.
Imagine my house with little white lines all over the floor. *rolls eyes*
That was the only amusement I've had during this experience. I am totally glad it is over though, now I at least know what happened and didn't have to wonder if she was stolen, etc.
