    just found my $3k pied python dead in a closet ;/

    Fucker lasted 6 months out of the cage, but no matter what I ctried I couldn't catch him.

    RIP lil buddy, you were my fav.

                  Well a caretaker while I was in Curacao didn't secure her cage and she got out. Every attempt I made to sweep the area for her I cam up with nothing, even went as far as motion cams on the floor. Anyhoo, she must have got up in the closet and didn't get back to floor level where the water & tracking alarms were. She stayed up there for six months it seems before I found her a few hours ago;/ She was the exact same size as when I lost her too, so I dunno what to think except lack of water that got her.

                  Total bummer ;(

                          Damn, sorry about your little guy. Some friends of mine had one of those that got out of it's tank, went missing for a month, and somehow they eventually found in wrapped around the fucking heating coil up under their fridge...he was fine but needed to eat.

                                                                      My son has a ball python that's been out twice over the last 7 years. First time he was small, I knew exactly where to find him...furnace room.

                                                                      Second time was just a few years ago.. he was considerably larger and you'd think easier to find. We put out heat pads and things at night so maybe he'd come looking for warmth.. no luck. One night about 10 days later he slithered across the floor in front of my son. Needless to say we got a taller enclosure for him and stronger clips to hold the lid down.
