    WASHINGTON — House lawmakers on Thursday advanced a measure to repeal an Obama-era rule that largely banned the hunting of bears, wolves and other predators on more than 76 million acres of national wildlife refuge land in Alaska.

    The Republican-sponsored legislation would undo the Alaska National Wildlife Refuges Rule, ultimately opening the door for the state to resume aggressive predator control tactics, including shooting bears and wolves from airplanes and killing cubs and pups in their dens.

              Hunting either of those animals has to do with animal population control you mindless emotional FOREIGN fuckwit.

              Wolves are huge problem in many areas of the state and decimating caribou and moose populations as are gruzzly bears. The hunting of brown and grizzly bears is AS ITS ALWAYS BEEN... HIGHLY regulated with the populations being carefully managed.

                      I grew up in the woods of the Pacific Northwest.

                      Wolves are apex predators and must be culled every year for population control and "predator harvest". If bears get overpopulated they travel farther for food and encroach on "human territory". As long as they are forced to kill humainly, licensed for each harvest to closely monitor kills AND utilize the kill, I'm fine with it.

                          Bears and big cats kill volumes of game animals, eat only part of them -- like deer and elk.
                          So, you sacrifice deer and elk for the sake of bears and big cats.
                          Wolves scavenge fallen animals as much as they kill.

                          Bears and wolves are not "cute" animals.

                                                  There is a moma bear with a cub and a pack of coyotes living on my dad's land in FL. He has about 40 acres but luckily the area around is not clear cut for houses. Most of the properties around have a bit of woods on them so the animals have some room to roam. He also has a flock of wild turkeys that seems to vary in size. The flock is a bit smaller now so either the coyotes have gotten some or they split up.

                                                              The inalienable right of every human being to control their own body can only be taken away by enslavement, and even then human will finds a way. Simply put, men have power of what they put in a woman's body and women have power of what they let out their body. Very simple.

                                                                      If a person is going out to kill an animal simply for the sake of watching it die or mounting its head on their wall, I think that is pretty fucked up. However, sometimes animals need to be killed in order to keep the species strong and maintain a balance in nature. Also, there are a lot of people who eat what they kill. I grew up in a small country town and while I didn't hunt much, I knew a lot of people that did. They would kill 1-2 deer a year and have meat for months from them.

Having to kill your pet to stop its suffering is a real bitch, the worst for me was putting our dog of 13 years down with my son there. I've known people who haven't killed before and their pet lingers in pain for YEARS, so sad.

                                                                                      I've been killing thing since I was a kid, age 6 or so. The first were abandoned new born baby rabbits I had to fill a small plastic bag with water and drown them. Feeling them squirm was aweful but it was fairly quick, very clean and humane. The more I've killed things, the more I've respected the fragility, and gift, of life. Its especially intense (not in a good way) when you kill taking its life with your own hands on its body. I suspect it's a different experience for soldiers who kill in war? It's strange how death impacts the living.

                                                                                      Killing these wolves & bears to avoid overpopulation and encrotchment is a good thing if administered properly.

                                                                                                              Carbon is not the problem, it makes up 0.041% of our atmosphere , 95% of that is from Volcanos and decomposing plants and stuff. So people in the US are responsible for 13% of the carbon in the atmosphere which 95% is not from Humans, like cars and trucks and stuff and they want to spend trillions to fix it while Solar Panel plants are powered by coal plants

                                                                                                                              If Republicans care more about an embryo than they do a person. They have no rights over the embryo. If Republicans would guaranty a good education, healthcare, job, home, etc. Then they can have their say.
