Having lived in France for a while I can say some of the conclusions in this thread are asinine.
Any friction between Americans and French have more to do with the similarities between the two people than their differences.
The language rocks, anyone who thinks French is an ugly language has no ear for beauty.
French women are incredible.
Their contributions to art and cuisine are obvious.
And the coup de grace: It was a Frenchman that invented the bikini.

France is better off as an Islamic sharia theocracy. At least it would represent a sad and inglorious end to the stinking pile of refuse that France has been since the Neanderthals crawled out of Châtelperron cave.

just to note i am one of those odd balls in alberta who IS fully against big oil, you do not know how many idiots moved here from the east and think they are big shots with their $50k oil jobs.
the oil boom brought all the broke idiots from all over canada to calgary, i cannot wait until they all move back home. it is slowly happening which is extremely good for me.
i am hoping oil crashes just so all these people will return home.
oil destroys the environment and people are willing to kill the world just to make a few extra bucks.

As for not wanting to rape Indians out of their land and what not, you do know what's become of all the French colonies in Africa right? I don't think human rights were any higher on the French agenda than they were on the English, Spanish or even Portugese..Comment
