If you have an abortion, you are pro abortion
And wow, Ben Shapiro has absolutely no charisma whatsoever...how does this guy have such a big following and get paid so much to speak at colleges?Comment
-
The term 'pro-choice' is rhetoric, pro-abortion people who want to be referred to as pro-choice must know that abortion is wrong, as otherwise they wouldn't want to hide the word away and not be identified as pro-abortion.

I've been seeing a lot of stories where someone points out Ben Shapiro "destroyed" someone...but all I see is a contrarian know-it-all being a pompous asshole in almost every instance. Who is this kid and why does anyone care? Is he some alt-right hero?

Yeah - I finally figured out where I knew him from...he's one of the idiots over at Daily Wire that are all pompous jerks with some thought that they are better than everyone else in the US because they are "college educated" and frat bros and sorority sisters...what losersComment

It's not about right or wrong. Any religious arguement fails. It's simply a problem limited technology. If they could take the zygote & implant it elsewhere that'd be great. Forcing a 16 yo to go term and then forcing her to adopt it off is even worse. It is simply a necessary evil. I'm for stricter regs, but not an all out ban. I've debated this successfully on the college debate team. It wasn't until I became a little wiser that I realized it can not be debated logically. Until technology can bring about change the only way to proceed is to give the choice to the parents, ultimately the mother, as much as it pains me to say thatComment

def not widely used but informally, absolutely. I consider myself pro-abortion, and pro-choice. use 'em both interchangeably as I refuse to shy away from stating the nature of the choice I support for peeps who don't want to carry to term/deliver.
lol, gracias for the synopsis. didn't read it, figured as much though. seems like these days 'victory' in the public sphere pretty much comes down to who talks loudest and pokes the amygdala hardestComment

^ I noticed this in another thread. If you still think Christianity is your main enemy, you're out of touch.
And you're not giving (((yourselves))) enough credit. You destroyed Christianity, well done! People oppose abortion on the grounds that they think it's murder, rightly or wrongly. If that offends you, or rubs you up the wrong way, then it tends to suggest that you want to have influence over the birthrate of non-Jews

I think those two words can mean two different things. I describe myself as pro-choice. I personally don't agree with abortion and wouldn't want a woman I got pregnant to have an abortion. However, I support the right of those who choose to have.
To me pro-abortion means you are encouraging abortions and want people to have them. Pro-choice means you support their right to chose to have one or not, but you may not encourage them to have an abortion.Comment

Bullshit, not only do you worship at the altar of the conspiracy, you now you have blind faith in your god Trump. After all what is faith and religion if it is not the ability to believe in stuff that has neither evidence to substantiate it, or a defend able position when evidence to the contrary is proposed.
So if you think that your anti abortion stance is not founded in the Christian culture of your upbringing you really need to think again. The sanctity of life argument is very much a religious construct. A purely logical approach delivers a different conclusion.

I'm a vegetarian, does that mean I've been influenced by one of the vegetarian religions?
I have no idea what to expect from Trump really, but it's clear that anyone is better than that other lot. The media being anti-Trump is a sure sign that he's not working for the establishment.
With time I became more philosophical about abortion, while I'm still against it, I'm also aware that the cloud does have a silver lining for the future of the human genepool. I've never heard a Christian say such a thing

Not sure on the relevance of your argument.
However to answer your point - yes absolutely it does.
We have evolved as opportunistic omnivores. It is one of the main features of human behaviour which has allowed the human species to assert itself as the dominant force on this planet. Our ability to survive on an endlessly varied diet has allowed us to inhabit virtually the whole planet no matter what food stuffs are available in each location. We are not naturally specialist eaters of one particular type of food - it takes a conscious decision to abstain.
Throughout history vegetarianism and religion are synonymous. Full scale vegetarians such as Hindu's and Buddists in the east, and early Jews and Christians all practising partial abstinence during certain festivals or as an act of piety. Vegetarian practices are firmly rooted in the great religions, and it is from these belief systems that the notion of vegetarianism being a positive action is formed.
So now when you think you are making decisions upon which you believe you are exorcising logic and free will, you are actually ignoring the cultural influences that form your moral code. You make the same mistake with your abortion stance as you do with your vegetarianism. You think that you hold superior moral views on these subjects, whilst ignoring the fact that the sanctity of life position, and vegetarianism, are both thoroughly embedded in the ancient religious codes which you profess to be above.
Enlightened ? not so much.

I should really reply with a version of your debate pyramid that you so gleefully used in another thread.
Although the pic above is an interesting subconscious display of reverence to the prophet of your religion though.
If not absolutely fucking predictable.
One day WHP you might have something interesting to say that you had not just seen on Youtube.

I was about to post something similar - wtf gives men the idea that they have the right to even take sides on this issue? Oh that's right....you think you are better deciders than women and know what's good for them.... Anytime a man starts talking about how a woman should control anything - he has just lost all respect in the worldComment

how about btw every guy would carry condoms instead of bragging how they "barebacked that bitch" behind the dumpster...
then we might not need to discuss abortions that much - getting pregnant takes (usually) two peopleComment

Past quotes from the people that run states and the country - interesting look back:
?If a woman has (the right to an abortion), why shouldn?t a man be free to use his superior strength to force himself on a woman? At least the rapist?s pursuit of sexual freedom doesn?t (in most cases) result in anyone?s death.?
?In the emergency room they have what?s called rape kits, where a woman can get cleaned out.?
?Even when life begins in that horrible situation of rape, that it is something that God intended to happen.?
?Rape victims should make the best of a bad situation.?
?If it?s a legitimate rape, the female body has ways to shut that thing down.?
?Rape is kinda like the weather. If it?s inevitable, relax and enjoy it.?Comment

I gotta oppose that post though... I as a man, can't take a side that says it's the woman's choice, if a woman steps up and screams some shit about 'abortion is murder'? Not even getting into the whole thing about yes, men should have input at least with their partner if he feels he doesn't want a kid for whatever reasons of his own he has.
I'm pro-choice (or as jesse put it, have no problem with being labelled 'pro-abortion, as if that's some insult where I'm stomping around everywhere demanding all pregnancies should be terminated lol, though I digress from your point obviously), and ultimately if a woman wants to have an abortion then it *is* up to her, but I can't agree that men should have no input, just for the fact they are men
----
In general, to the thread topic:
For me at least, the open-jawed part is why should anyone tell someone else what they can or can't do with their own bodies, assuming they are of sound mind. "You *cannot* have an abortion, and MUST have the baby, and if you're ill-equipped to deal with raising a human being, well, we'll worry about that at some point in the future when it's too late" <--- fucking madness

removing the republican from your quote though cuz for real it's larger than that. dems are just as bad
see exhibit a: B Clinton's kneecapping of low income, single and racialized moms during his tenure in office. which H Clinton supported at the time and didn't retract during her rally for the feminist vote in the last electionComment

Hard violent criminals should all be castrated. It's the male population that cause most of the violence in the world. Remove the balls, remove the testosterone, less angry men.
I know there are violent ladies out there too, but just statistically speaking. We need to turn gangsters, murderers and rapists into softies, I'm sure they wouldn't mind after all said and done.Comment
