    Selling Porn On Mainstream Sites

    Anbody hear have mainstream type sites which they have porn banners on? I mean sites that are likely to have a large pecentage of male over 18 surfers therefore highly likely to also be interested in porn i.e. ConsumptionJunction type humor sites,
    sports sites,

    If so how does the adult advertising perform compared to your porn sites?

    I'm looking at buying a 'mainstream' site that has a shitload of daily traffic, i would think 70% male audience, trying to figure out how switching all the advertising to adult (softcore and hardcore)
    would do.

    bwahahhahahhah.......i love mainstreamers, so clueless it hurts, hundreds of thousands of hits a month with a profit of 200 hundred dollars per month and he thinks he's selling 'Google' to me. He was insulted with my offer, it was way too much as it is since I don't know how adult advertising would do on it, i am just playing a hunch. That's why i'm asking you guys here if you've ever had a high traffic non adult site do well with adult ads.

      the problem will be trying to sell ads,
      most mainstream advertising companies will not allow ads next to porno ads

              I do some classified type ads on a few mainstream sites. Course, I wouldn't call 'em "mainstream", but definitely not porn sites. Anyway, some of 'em I do great with, while others I barely get a click-thru.

                  I had a few banners up at www.marthastewart.com for a while promoting Knob Gobbling Hoes from Outa State and did pretty well for a bit.

                  Depends on the site though.

                      There are a couple of mainstream sites I have been interested in advertising on but after inquiring to their sales departments they never responded. I guess they are doing so well they don't need my money?

                          yeah consumptionjunction is the site i'd be interested in knowing how it does with its adult ads. this site's audience is the same kind though it's not really a humor site.

                                                              I have several dozen Sports oriented domains. I do really well on these with tranny up sells. I would say non adult content sites with porn ads usually do well... see stilesproject for an example.
