You are right of course. It just seems that....if a board is going to promote itself as a place "where the industry meets" ... that it would actually have the industries best interest at heart. And based on what I've seen lately (and over the years) that's not the case. The mods here continually delete threads and banned members who bring questionable business practices to light. And it's no coincidence that threads that get deleted are threads that target programs in the "Bro Club" or friends of the mods. Is this a fair practice? Nope! But it does keep the money rolling in. I guess if you have to rely on a message board to pay the bills and you don't have a problem looking the other way when programs do bad things to people....then it's totally fine. I'd like to think that the folks who run this board are better people than that but well - their actions say it all.
Listen, I'm sure it's my fault. I just expect everyone to be honest and fair. And when I see something like this going on it reminds me that everyone isn't. I'm sure the mods are really great people and are just doing whatever they have to do to save their job....even if that means deleting threads and banning members who are trying to bring to our attention that there are some bad people and bad companies taking advantage of affiliates and in some instances - the general public.
This is not where the industry meets, this is where the bro's meet!Comment

Well I think we've witnessed first hand that if you "out" any program that's an advertiser here, your thread will most likely be deleted and if you persist on making an issue of it, you'll most likely be banned. If you want to out a company that advertises here, you'll do better to take it to one of the other boards where they are not relying on that programs ad revenue. If you make a thread here and the program is a paid advertiser, they'll have it removed.Comment

See the problem is the surfer and visa see us as one unit. Its not like a restaurant or some other business. So if surfer get fucked one time too often they stop buying porn from everyone not just the one that fucked them. When Visa lowered the cb ratio it wasnt on just the scumbags it was on all of us. So how others earn their living does effect us all.Lest we forget that this is not a democracy, and the bills need to be paid and that is just the way it is. Don't like it... go somewhere else as many before me have said and will continue to say...
Personally.. I like the atmosphere.... feels like organized anarchy here 24 hours a day.

I'm not a bro, or make more, I know I don't make that much, but you see, I don't need to go around throwing it around and try to act like a big guy on the boards.
Robbie is just pissed because I don't conform to his shit and I'm not afraid to call someone an idiot or anything like that when I see it.
You both have a lot of finer points... The hangup is when you both think your finer point is sharper than the next guys... But I would have to say this is an affliction you are dealing with much more than Robbie is...
So how about you go make some sites and promote them and make $750K net and then resume this conversation from that point?Comment

Because you don't need $750K net to have morals and know someones shady and not be afraid to say it.You both have a lot of finer points... The hangup is when you both think your finer point is sharper than the next guys... But I would have to say this is an affliction you are dealing with much more than Robbie is...
So how about you go make some sites and promote them and make $750K net and then resume this conversation from that point?
Just because I don't make tons of money, doesn't mean I shouldn't be allowed to call out some shady fuckers when I see one.
If he doesn't like that I call his fake friends shady, then he can fuck right off, because I'm not stopping.Comment

So fucking true dat BRO.I think the reason for the bannings and deletings is simple: The people getting banned are questionable if they are really in the business to begin with (Battus...those were all his fake nicks that got banned, that's right...he was conversing with himself over and over in many threads)
And the companies that are being attacked by people who aren't even in this business ARE the industry.
So if GFY is to continue to be "Where The Industry Meets" they had to start taking action. Otherwise a few assclowns and trolls are going to run them all off of here and defeat the very purpose of this forum.
Fewer and fewer of the real people and companies in adult internet are coming here because why would anybody want to have their business hurt? This is supposed to be a place OF business. Not a bunch of wannabe webmasters attacking the very companies that pay them.
Makes perfect sense to me.
Personally I want the big players on here posting. They are smarter, faster, and a million times more successful than the ones who have tried to tear them down.
I'd rather read a post by a guy who knows his shit, than to open up GFY everyday and read all the crying and whining from the guys who can't make a dollar.
If this is truly "Where The Industry Meets" then we need the guys who really ARE in the industry to post here. Not the trolls.
