The Cable & Teleco companies want a monopoly on controlling the internet. They want to box it up and put it on your TV as a rented box.. By ending net-neutrality it allows them to do this because they can then choose what websites are too expensive for you to view. They want to set up deals like they have with cable TV stations..

It will end up something like a chrome-cast or Roku where you turn on a TV and have access to a few limited channels and have to pay more to access the premium internet. You wont have a viewer base to sell DRM to because no one will ever see your site. It wont happen over night but they will bend and push the average viewer's habits in this direction by limiting what they have access to with "bundle deals"..

They want to destroy the free market open internet so they can make billions off subscription fees for a very limited internet. The average internet user only visits a hand full of big name websites, making it easy for them to bundle up access to certian site like Facebook, youtube ect while charging a premium to view their competition's sites like netflix. They will also be able to block adult content and force it to PPV which will be an easy sell to parents.

(remember the TV on idiocracy, well that was a precursor of what the cable companies want)
