I was at the Louvre in the Fall of 2014. There were 500 people easily milling around and standing in the entrance line in the plaza. This is not a joke -- if that idiot had had a bomb in his backback this could have been a real tragedy.Comment

well france have a total revenue in tourism of 66 billion so i think they will stand it.
i would more worry about USA what have a tourist income of 177 billion and 15.1 million jobs are secured from the tourism.
newest surveys in europe showing that over 30% of potential USA tourists want to change their travel plans now. i think that will be a much bigger number.

To answer your question more directly, I had to take someone to Paris-Gallieni bus station that is located in Bagnolet in the east side of Paris. I rode the Paris Metro a lot as I wanted to see the city as it really is -- dressed down and tried to blend in as a Parisian. I didn't have any real problems.
When I was in London in 2014 I was at the X-biz show for a couple of days and walked to Paddington? Station Friday evening the sidewalk cafes were packed with Muslim men smoking hookahs. No one bothered me ...
