    Is a Coup d'etat starting?

    https://medium.com/@yonatanzunger/tr...1d5#.r79vunf3b

This is a highly interesting summary of events so far. Pay special attention to the "resignations" of senior employees last week and the power vacuums they leave behind. Checks and balances are being swiftly removed. The #MAGA crew will point to this as "draining the swamp" but everyone with a penchant for due process and democratic governance will be immediately concerned.

    An excerpt:

"A second major theme is watching the set of people involved. There appears to be a very tight “inner circle,” containing at least Trump, Bannon, Miller, Priebus, Kushner, and possibly Flynn, which is making all of the decisions. Other departments and appointees have been deliberately hobbled, with key orders announced to them only after the fact, staff gutted, and so on. Yesterday’s reorganization of the National Security Council mirrors this: Bannon and Priebus now have permanent seats on the Principals’ Committee; the Director of National Intelligence and the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff have both been demoted to only attending meetings where they are told that their expertise is relevant; the Secretary of Energy and the US representative to the UN were kicked off the committee altogether (in defiance of the authorizing statute, incidentally).

I am reminded of Trump’s continued operation of a private personal security force, and his deep rift with the intelligence community. Last Sunday, Kellyanne Conway (likely another member of the inner circle) said that “It’s really time for [Trump] to put in his own security and intelligence community,” and this seems likely to be the case."

    What are your thoughts, GFY?

Trump, yet again, sticking to another promise, and he's not even 2 weeks in office.

A lot of people outside of your bubble voted for him. Tip: Leave that bubble once in a while to get a dose of reality. People are being blown, shot up and run over by Isis members who travelled along with the huge immigrant wave her in Europe. Sweden, Europe's most tolerant country, are now paying the price of that tolerance by bringing in a Trojan horse - rapes are not an exception anymore and the women in big cities are afraid to walk alone in the dark, something they couldn't even imagine 5 years ago.

Throw millions of people of a women- and western culture hating ideology in a western society and you get a culture clash. Simple logic. Add in traveling Isis members to the mix and the melting pot of chaos and mayhem is complete.

But please, continue to believe in fairy tales! Go spread your message to the families of the dead and raped

FYI trump is the only one who publicly spoke out that Iraq and Libya would be better off without any war mongering by the US. Yet you libs condemn him and embrace the war mongering establishment of the Clintons = Obama = Bush. I thought you guys were anti war?

You are Dutch living in the Netherlands.

Signing an executive order is not "doing" anything. His order has to be approved by congress for any funding and has to be LEGAL.

We aren't a monarchy like yours in the Netherlands where your king signs a decree for his disciples who have to kiss his Gay rings

            All excellent points!

Trump fired all diplomats to end employment by 1/20/2017

Trump has 660 whitehouse positions not yet filled.

Now, as he and his administration fuck up time and time again, their excuse is "He's new, he's never done this before" like what the fuck?!!

A coup requires the muscle of the military and the military doesn't like Trump. There was an interesting post on Reddit today from an Airforce officer. He said most of the officers have gone from wait and see to WTF.

Most seem to think he's incompetent and has no idea what he's doing. He says the Military guys who have been around the block are very pissed at his coziness with Russia and the Russian connections..

Trust me any attempt to do something drastic will end with bullets in the heads. This isn't a 3rd world country where the police & military can be bought..

Will trump fuck shit up .. Yes.. Will it take years to fix shit he fucks up.. Yes just like it did with Bush..
In November, you can vote for America's next president or its first dictator.

The US and Canada both have extremely tight vetting for refugees. We have the benefit of the ocean between our borders and the war zones. Europe does not have that protection, and have been inundated with such a flood that yes, cultural norms are being affected.

BEFORE Trump's order, refugees were already undergoing extremely stringent vetting before they were allowed to fly to North America. The list of countries now banned was a list made by Obama as countries that should be watched closely. But, as a good statesman, he understood the value of keeping that policy quiet and enacted in an inconspicuous way.

If refugees and immigrants were causing trouble in the States or Canada, then yes, you would have an argument. But they're not. In fact, they're more law-abiding than born citizens.

                https://crdcn.org/immigrants-and-crime-evidence-canada
"first, new immigrants do not have a significant impact on the property crime rate, but with time spent in Canada, a 10% increase in the recent-immigrant share or established-immigrant share decreases the property crime rate by 2% to 3%. Neither underreporting to police nor the dilution of the criminal pool by the addition of law-abiding immigrants can fully explain the size of the estimates. This suggests that immigration has a spillover effect, such as changing neighbourhood characteristics, which reduces crime rates in the long run. "

Second, how can you possibly claim Trump is anti-war? He suggested to the CIA last week that they might have another chance to seize Iraq's oil. He is poking nuclear-armed countries with no care to repurcussions. Why do you say he is anti-war?

Not quite. The actual definition does not require the military to be the ones taking power.

"A coup d'état, also known simply as a coup (/kuː/), putsch, or an overthrow, is the illegal and overt seizure of a state by the military or other elites within the state apparatus.[1]"

I find this hard to believe.

Our military has always leaned Republican, but keeps out of political issues.

I am on a lot of military message boards and Facebook groups, and I haven't seen anything of the sort.

Yep, but the new people usually have experience and know what they are doing, hence that's why they were brought in.

Trump on the other hand is bringing in people who don't know shit about the department they are suppose to be running. Their only qualification is either they are donors and/or helped him win!

Foreigners who support Trump always say he's anti war, and ignore things like:
