                                                  That's not the point I was making.. Reagan has been the Republican Jesus since the 80's. All these little right wingers used to praise him like he was the 2nd coming.. Now they rush out to usher in a guy who Reagan would call a fucking imbecile.

                                                  What I'm getting at, is the right wing is so committed to party above all, they will rally around anyone who gets thrown in front of them. They can't seem to use any critical thinking skills to realize this new guy they supports is 90 degrees in a different direction from the last guy they supported. They just run in any direction they are told by the guy with the big R on his chest.

                                                      Oh I totally agree - unfortunately both parties are that way - which is why Trump is having so much trouble from the congress privately....there are some in the Senate who are eyeing his VP right now as at least he stands for real conservatism to a higher degree than what Trump puts on as an act.
                                                      I would be extremely surprised if congress really does anything that Trump wants...and just keeps putting through their versions of laws that will just sit there at a standstill.

                                                      Just to clarify...the real right wing hasn't come back out of the woodwork...yet. I think they will once the Supreme Court nominee gets put in front of them...the guy that Trump is going to put in there is another closet centrist...and congressional real conservatives will fight it - they've been fucked once before

                                                          No both parties aren't that way.. Trump got the exact same amount of vote as both McCain & Romney. This shows the right will vote for anyone as long as they wear the red shirt..

                                                          Meanwhile in the Gore, Kerry & Hillary elections all 3 had low turn outs from Democrats because all 3 were lack luster non inspiring candidates. Meanwhile both Bill Clinton & Obama had very large turn outs. This shows that the left doesn't just vote for who ever is put in front of them.

                                                          Both parties are not the same, I get so sick of hearing that excuse.

                                                                                          It is my belief (for what it's worth) that if the parties ever went back to their fundamentals, the states would change colors so fast it would make your head spin...then we could have real changes - but I'm pretty confident that won't happen
