BIG QUESTION for you pros to answer:
I'm also considering designing it myself as a paysite for the purpose of selling w/added value ... I don't know if that's done without using the content that will BE the paysite. I have loads of photo content but none that would be a part of the actual content obviously, other than making room for the tour photos and samples and using the bulk of the header design as very eye appealing but my own content (perhaps without faces or something I dunno).

Anybody know if this is done? Or would it be a waste of time?

Just my opinion but if you was going to develop a site to increase value I don't think a paysite would be the way to go. I worked on a few sites last year aimed at the lesbian audience and they were a cross between social sites and pushing products.

They converted really well, shame they were a clients sites and not my own

Good points for sure. I had also thinking maybe along the lines of a social/personals site. That seems to go with the domain a bit better. That's great to hear they convert well. I now have two lesbian domains I really like, this one and my fully developed LesbianBoards.com forum and it's just a shame I'm not a lesbian LOL or I'd just keep them permanently.
