    What are some cheap countries to shoot in where the models speak English?

    Hi all,

    I'm thinking about producing some softcore hypnosis fetish videos that will require the models being able to hold a conversation in English. Are there any cheap countries to shoot in where the models can speak decent English?

    I'm located in NYC, USA but have been considering going overseas to shoot film since I will only have a limited budget and I'm uncertain what sales I'll be able to achieve. Is Prague a viable option for me? From reading the forum, it seems like I can expect to pay $300/day for a model but I'm not sure of the availability of adult models that can speak English.

      Why not consider Canada? Everyone west of Quebec speaks English, and you get anD for every 1 USD you get approximately $1.25 Canadian.

                      There is a lot of porn shot in Canada and like everywhere the price of models varies widely. Vancouver is probably the porn hot spot. If you open the news paper classified you see loads of adds looking for adult entertainers to audition for porn shoots.

                      There are really very few government regulations on shooting porn. Other than the standard ID and model release, that's all you really need.

                          Ah, thanks. Have there been issues with shooting porn at hotels? Shot my first and only porn video at a hotel in Brooklyn but was leery the entire time that staff would come knocking on the door due to noise.

                          For one day rentals through sites like as vrbo.com, do you just bluntly tell them it's for porn production?

                                      In my books and agent who pockets 20% of the models wages should make an effort to make the contact with the talent and the producer,makes the deals, makes sure the models show up, makes sure they have tests etc.etc...instead it is all your job.

                                          Thanks, that was enlightening. Are agencies like these the exception or the norm in Prague? Will they be willing to work with small time producers just starting out or are they only interested in forming relationships with more established production studios?

                                          So far I have my sights set on Prague for a variety of reasons; beautiful girls, ease of public transportation, low-cost living, relatively lower model expenses.

                                          Also, do you happen to know roughly what percentage of the talent pool can really understand English at an intermediate level? From looking at xvideo, I'm seeing a great deal of videos with the dialog all in Czech though there are English subtitles. On some travel sites, I'm reading that younger adults have formal secondary language education in English but they don't indicate their proficiency level.

                                              Most agencies are like that because Prague is known for the elements you have stated. But NOT so cheap anymore... It depends what you need and what budget you have...This forum it is not however the place to go into details...just a ballpark:

                                              For GG or. solo model...she will costs anywhere from $$ 200( soft) to 600 ( hard) day...
                                              BG probably more, safely stated...about double of GG ( throw in the guy for free ;))
                                              But you also need to look at locations... A minimum 400 / day
                                              ...and crew and equipmement... Add furhter $$... each crew from $$ 200/ day..

                                              So add it all up and if you need more info PM me.

                                                  Thanks. I think for hypnosis fetish I can get away without having a crew (would be too expensive for me otherwise). The studios in the same niche on Clip4Sales are all one man operations it seems.

                                                  Likewise, for equipment, I think I can make do with a Panasonic GH4, Manfrotto Nano Stands, LED Light Panels, Rode VideoMic. Anything more high end would probably be too much at this time.

                                                  For now, I'm just hoping to minimize expenses as much as possible until I have a good idea how much revenue I'll be able to generate with a catalog of videos featuring a couple different models to begin with.

                                                  Still unsure about all of this. I guess the best thing to do at this point might be to get a somewhat functional landing page site up and start getting in contact with agencies in Prague for more information and see if we can work something out.

                                                          Have you tried Romania or Moldova? I have no idea about filming but if you can get loads of cheap webcam models here maybe you can also find what you need.

                                                                      Lots of the models we shoot in Guadalajara/Mexico City, Mexico also speak English. becareful with the hypnosis videos epoch does not allow them. we had to remove a bunch.

                                                                              You mean like Thailand or Philippines? I've heard that the legal penalties in Thailand for shooting porn can be quite severe. Hate to be stuck in a Thai jail cell.

                                                                              Are there actually agencies there or are producers directly propositioning bargirls?


                                                                              I'll probably end up going to either Romania or Czech Republic. Right now I'm trying to save up the necessary bankroll so I'll be able to stay afloat for a few months.
