I am not so keen on their choice for President for obvious reasons. The idea that the Supreme Court needs to be one way or the other is not really how it was set up.
But overall, we might see some needed retrenchment on some stuff.

Republicans are not fiscally responsible. They haven't been at the very least since Regan. I'm all for fiscally responsible but it's not what the Republican party is about.
Republicans spend more than Democrats, it's an actual fact the budgets show this, but instead of covering it with taxes they borrow more from the credit card.. There is a Reason when Clinton was in office we were on track to pay off the national debt then Bush came in and completely erased that..
Even Obama has slowed spending despite being handed a massive debt from Bush whom already signed the bail outs into law which Obama was blamed for by the right..
If you look away from the pundit sites you see the true story when looking at actual numbers and where they came from..
Now Trump wants to spend billions more on military and nukes.. yes that's really fiscally responsible. You want to know what's fiscally responsible? Fucking single payer health care is fiscally responsible. Affordable education & trade schools is fiscally responsible, not bankrupting your students and people whom get sick.. Not more military spending or tax payer vouchers for sub par education because certain groups want their kids taught fairy tales instead of reality.
Funny we have no money for education or healthcare but somewhere we have money to build a Mexican wall, build new nukes and buy more military shit.. Big Business America's greed coupled with massive govt spending is destroying this country. The Right DOES NOT cut spending, they increase it and then try to cover the bills with less tax dollars and shifting most of the the bill to the lower and middle class.
