Website TMZ.com first published a brochure hyping the happening. The brochure says that ?all net proceeds from the Opening Day event will be donated to conservation charities,? but it does not name the charities or detail how net proceeds will be calculated.

Who?s behind the get-together?

Walter Kinzie, chief executive officer of Texas event management company Encore Live, confirmed to the Center for Public Integrity that a nonprofit group called the Opening Day Foundation hired his firm to manage Opening Day 2017.

A Center for Public Integrity review of Texas incorporation records found the Opening Day Foundation was created less than a week ago, on Dec. 14. Unlike political committees, such nonprofits aren?t required by law to reveal their donors, allowing sponsors to write seven-figure checks for access to the president while staying anonymous, if they choose.

It is because historically Putin doesn't do anything without some kind of an agenda. it's interesting to me how Republicans have all of a sudden taken a liking to Russia. I saw today that a poll recently showed that back in July of 2014 only about 10% of Conservatives had a favorable opinion of Putin, but that number is now up to 35%.

Trump talks nicely about Putin and his supporters follow. They don't seem to care that Russia may have influenced the election (of course had Clinton won and the CIA said Russia helped her win they wouldn't be blowing it off, they would be sounding air raid sirens and talking about invading Moscow) and they are suddenly acting like we are friends.

Sure, if Russia and the US could have a good relationship, that would be fantastic, but I don't trust Putin and if Putin thinks Trump is better for Russia you can bet the reason isn't because he wants to talk about peace on Earth and grabbing secretaries by the pussy.

I don't like Putin because he breaks every agreement he makes and tries to take more than agreed. This is how Putin has made so many enemies.

There's a lot of reasons to not like Trump (huge lover of police, authoritarian, etc..) but in terms of foreign policy, it looks like he's not the most eager to go to war. He has no problem saying the Iraq war was a mistake from the beginning, and he's not eager to get into shitting contests with other superpowers, unlike Clinton.

Anyhow, all of this arguing over presidents is moot. They're hood ornaments; the vehicle is going to do what it's going to do regardless of what shiny little chrome piece is sitting on its hood. All a game to keep people distracted.

It looks like things are changing. I just read that they will still be offering the hunting trip with one of the son's, but there is no longer anything involving access to the POTUS (goddamn it feels weird to write the POTUS and have it refer to Donald Trump ).
