It is because historically Putin doesn't do anything without some kind of an agenda. it's interesting to me how Republicans have all of a sudden taken a liking to Russia. I saw today that a poll recently showed that back in July of 2014 only about 10% of Conservatives had a favorable opinion of Putin, but that number is now up to 35%.
Trump talks nicely about Putin and his supporters follow. They don't seem to care that Russia may have influenced the election (of course had Clinton won and the CIA said Russia helped her win they wouldn't be blowing it off, they would be sounding air raid sirens and talking about invading Moscow) and they are suddenly acting like we are friends.
Sure, if Russia and the US could have a good relationship, that would be fantastic, but I don't trust Putin and if Putin thinks Trump is better for Russia you can bet the reason isn't because he wants to talk about peace on Earth and grabbing secretaries by the pussy.
