I have 2 15" pioneers hooked up to my reciever which is hooked up to the computer. computer speakers don't really get much better than this. if i wanted to i could get 4 other speakers but that might be overkill.Comment

I'd agree that Altec Lansings are the best PC speakers, but I can't remember what kind I have & they're packed up until I go get the rest of my shite... Uh, I could recommend some good headphones?Comment

I use Klipsh Promedia 2.1 (as i said in another thread today) and they are amazing. The 5.1 must sound out of this world ;POriginally posted by FlyingIguana
klipsch, its pretty much a no brainer on this one. think they're like 400.This thread will self-destruct in 5 seconds.
I personally own the Logitech Z-560 4.1 THX, they're a pretty killer system and they're damn cheap, they retail for $200, but you can find them online for about $140. I wasn't about to drop the $360 for speakers alone, I could upgrade sooo much more with the extra money that I saved. The Logitech's are a great middle of the road set, great performance and cheap price.
Check out these suckers, the woofer is unshielded to give more punch and it has 400 watts backing it, so even though it's a cheaper system, it still has the balls.

You can look anywhere that you'd like online, most places will give these things a great review. The only thing that it could use is a TONE switch on the control, but that's only minor.Last edited by Slick; 09-20-2002, 08:17 PM.Comment

I hooked the PC up to the living room sound system (3 amps and 13 speakers) playing Team Fortress is hell for the neighbours ;)
Just get a half decent amp (£150) and a pair of big speakers - anything is going to sound better than a pair of tweeters plugged into a soundcard...Comment

One of the best sounding speakers I had/have are Cambridge Sound Works - even the tiny ones produce very nice bass...
SIG TOO BIG! Maximum 120x60 button and no more than 3 text lines of DEFAULT SIZE and COLOR. Unless your sig is for a GFY top banner sponsor, then you may use a 624x80 instead of a 120x60.Comment

Can't you just get a few leads and hook the 'puter up to your home stereo system? Most of the time, sound on the computer is pointless. Only if I've got a kickass game going or maybe wanna listen to MP3s does the sound quality make any difference. Why buy speakers for the computer if you've got a good set for the TV/DVD?Comment

I have these connected to my XBOX.
