    No Season 8 for Trailer Park Boys

    A one hour special and a movie, then it's finito.

    11-13-2008 :: "Thanks from Sunnyvale"

    Over the past few months there has been a lot of discussion among our fans and those in the media about the future of Trailer Park Boys. Will there be another season, another special, another movie? The last thing we want to do is keep our loyal fans in the dark about the show we have all loved doing for the past eight years, so we?d like now to shed some light.

    We have a final one hour television special, ?Say Goodnight To The Bad Guys?, which goes to air on Showcase on Sunday, December 7, 2008. Then after that, our sequel movie, ?Countdown To Liqour Day? (working title), is due to be released in Canadian theatres in October, 2009.

    But, after that, there will be no more. Yes, it?s the end of Trailer Park Boys. Our fans have been so supportive and inspiring, particularly all of you at the org, that we wanted you to be the first to know. Much love and thanks from all of us at Sunnyvale Trailer Park.

          Sucks indeed. I knew the end was near, as every good thing has to come to an end sooner or later but really thought there would be at least one more season. Ah, well. Maybe Bubbles will get a spin off, lol.

                              The problem is they kept using taxpayer money through grants and whatnot to fund their show which to be honest, kinda sucks. I mean yeah it was funny for a couple seasons, but I think everyone got enough trailer park humor when Britney went schitzo and well, time to move on. Personally, I think it's time as well.

                                  kind of sucks, but i really thought the show went downhill with season 7... i hope the special and new movie will revive some of the old glory.

                                      With out Cory and Trevor it's a good idea to end it. Just wasn't the same without them. I've been a fan since I caught the small budget movie on showcase many years ago.

                                          Indeed season 7 was weird.. no Cory and Trevor and the widescreen format took some getting used to, but after a while it grew on me, especially after a 2nd viewing. I mean, what can be worse than getting fucked by bears?
