How big should video clips be?

I have filmed some great exclusive video but I'm having a hard time turning it into files I can use. Any advice? I have Adobe Premiere 6.0 and also something called Ulead Video (which is very simple, even I can use it!).

My two main questions are - 1) which format is best to save the files in, and 2) how big should the files be (per minute)?
SIG TOO BIG! Maximum 120x60 button and no more than 3 text lines of DEFAULT SIZE and COLOR. Unless your sig is for a GFY top banner sponsor, then you may use a 624x80 instead of a 120x60.

Are you gonna make galleries for MGP's?
If you do slide your content in small mpg files, each slide 10 seconds length and size about 500 kb for example.
To decrease size you could leave sound away (most MGP's won't mind).
Put about 9 mpeg in one gallery with your sponsors around it.

It depends on what you plan to do with them.

Well I have seen qood quality video that is 2 minutes long be about 5-8 mb and seen others at 17mb. I would look into software like Vegas Video. I don't know how well Premiere works but Vegas Video does some kick butt stuff.

Personally for video it is probably easiest to make it wmv (Windows Media Player) just because that comes installed on every windows pc, but always give an option. I am gonna be switching my video to wmv, avi etc on my sites just so users can have an option of what they want to download (of course on mgp's this may not be an option).

we try to keep to average 7-8mins max.......usually ends up at 50-70MB in .mpeg........we also give them an option of streaming with Real, but the quality is usually pretty ordinary in comparison
