I didn't watermark the images with my url and I didn't claim ownership. I started the site back in 97ish and it has over 300,000 images. I still got c&d's from perfect10, penthouse, playboy, movie studios, etc

i believe they were referring to getting c&d's, anyone can send anyone a c&d about anything, and they do , most people that have them get c&d's like clockwork.

As far as the legality of a free celeb site, i am not aware of any loophole in the digital millenium copyright act that says this is "legal". Please point me to it if i am mistaken. There ARE fair uses for copyright material , i don't think this is one of them. I am not a lawyer but i would bet there is no legal ground , just bigger fish to fry.

the only problem I ever had was when juicybucks released that sex video and claimed it was allison williams. I used their marketing material on my site and received an email saying it was not her and to take it down..which I did.

They REALLY want juicybucks to this day.

as far as c&d's , I guess I haven't pissed off the right people over the past 8 years... and I don't use whois protection... lucky me.
