The kid was mentally challenged. If he was a "normal" kid then I might agree with a little corporal punishment but you can't do that shit to a kid that doesn't know the difference between right and wrong.

Why is he on a bus going to school then?

So you think it is alright for an able bodied adult to choke a disabled child? Sadly, you probably aren't alone, but I hope you are in the minority.

I will say this though, that child had no business being on that bus without a monitor / supervisor / aide. In that sense, the fault lies directly with the bus company and driver.

He is on the bus to go to school... or should only the "perfectly healthy" children be allowed to attend school?

              scary stuff
Carbon is not the problem, it makes up 0.041% of our atmosphere , 95% of that is from Volcanos and decomposing plants and stuff. So people in the US are responsible for 13% of the carbon in the atmosphere which 95% is not from Humans, like cars and trucks and stuff and they want to spend trillions to fix it while Solar Panel plants are powered by coal plants
              think about that

That's correct. There's no need sending developmentally disabled humans to a public institution made to educate. They are a distraction and a drain.

Because if the mentally challenged don't go to school, they will just grow up to be forum trolls. Nobody wants any more of those assholes hanging around.

People complain there isn't enough money for school for the normal kids and complain atxes are too high and don't want them raised, so the only way you solve that problem is to stop funding for those types of kids. Is that kid ever going to college? No. Is that kid ever going to hold a job? No. I guess it depends if you one that believes help everyone no matter what the costs or "needs of the many outweigh the needs of the few"

As a father of a disabled child I will strongly disagree with you.

I hope you never have a special needs child.

Or children at all for that matter.

This is very "Republican like" thinking. I'm surprised to hear it coming from you.

                            "...those types of kids..." nice.

Will he go to college - probably not, but I guarantee that he is learning something. A job - again, probably not, but maybe. No, he won't be a nuclear physicist, but he may be able to earn a living.

Unless you live in some backwood hell hole, special needs children aren't placed in the same class rooms - and the teachers in the special class rooms make the same little bit of money that the teachers teaching "regular" kids do.

There is nothing republican about what Gator said. Your child has the same rights as all other kids. That is what a republican would say.

                                  I agree, I sincerely hope I don't - I couldn't handle it. You're a better person than I am in that respect.

Your right, Republican was the wrong word. It was an insult to Republicans.
I should have said "elitist" for it has no political bounds.

You're right, my child does have same rights. That is all that I am asking for. BradM and Gator seem to think that he should have no rights.

And your comment about "free daycare". Let us think about that. Two parents, working. Two people paying taxes. That hardly sounds free, and school is much more than day care - even for those with special needs. But does sending them to school cost more? Maybe, but then again, I know my son doesn't use the books that I pay book fees for...

Hell, lets take things further. People with out children shouldn't have to pay any portion of taxes that goes to schools. If you don't drive, why pay for the streets to be fixed? Haven't needed police or fire assistance?, why pay that...

If you don't like the way things are in your community, state, country - move. Find some place that better suits you. Hell, start your own colony.

But if you decide to stay, quit bitching about paying for things that do not seem to benefit you. We all do it.

@Brad - you would be surprised what you are capable of when you are presented with it. I never thought I could handle many things - till I needed to.
