    VB Forum owner using Forum runner ... Read this

    User Data Stolen in Ubuntu Forums Breach | SecurityWeek.Com ( old news but ... )

    A well know forum in Canada been hacked the last few days ( No it's not mine )

    So if any of you using forum runner VB you should deactivated that and removed it from your VB.

      Thanks for the warning, will look deeper into this. You know if many have been affected by actual intrusions/successful hacks ?

          So far only one i know , but like many, i'm using forum runner on my VB site and haved removed it completely
          after have heard and see the other forum was down for few days. The Admin of that site have post a thread about the hacking of the last fews days.
          They have fight back and the forum is now back live with a temporary url but they still working on retablish the main index page.
          Could have been very ugly for that site owner. I don't wish that to my worst enemy LOL .
