I was just there saturday night for a freinds band. I used to live right across the street from there. When I had a big cocaine problem...that used to be my late night place to pick up beers if I was too geeked to go to sleep! I'd just drink myself till I passed out! lol

I always laugh when I go clubbing on Milwaulkee and try to find a parking space on the back streets and see nice half a mil lofts then on the next block a notorious project.

Yeah...this hood has been slowly goin' thru the whole genrifacation process for the last 15 yrs. or so. I remember when I was in high school & I was in this punk rawk band. Our record company was right on North Ave, between AShland & Damen (near the Real World house...lol) & it was such a shitty neighborhood back then! I used to dread having to take the El over there for meetings. But now...shit! It's a hipper area to live in than Lincoln Park.

Exactly! It feels like that ice cold wind is blowin' right thru your body. Then the lake effect makes the weather here very strange. It could be a blizzard here, but only 10-15 milesd away it's sunny & nice weather. Ugh. Don't remind me...it's right around the corner.
Well...it's a long ways away, but if ya think about it, next summer when ya come down, contact me. I can't handle the Taste, too many outta-towners (nothin' personal)...but as I'm sure ya know, there's like a million street fests & they're always a good time.
