The thing is though, the people that are TRULY worthy of respect get it no matter what, because they not only have proven themselves, but they don't HAVE to act like assholes and demand that people kiss their asses for people to TREAT them respectfully. Those that are TRULY worthy of respect don't need trumpeters in front of them to make sure everyone bows down. It is part of who they are and they ooze worthiness from every pore. These people also generally know that you have to treat people with respect for them to treat you the same way back. Apparently you missed the "treat people how you want to be treated" in kindergarten?
