Seriously... We have faster internet access... faster computers... and yet websites are getting worse and worse... I swear it's mostly AJAX that's caused this... anyone ever look at the 200k+++ worth of javascript a site like facebook loads up? Trying to navigate around my cellphone companies website and it just SUCKS!!!

Harddrives and cheap RAM lead to all this crap. When coders had to deal with pure RAM and a floppy or two - shit was either tight or you went out of business.
