That's why a utility worker in Iowa that gave me a ride in his van told me why he and his wife moved from Arizona back to Iowa.
The illegals take up too much of the population to not pay taxes, the schools are relatively poor down in that region for how much they pay in taxes he said.
Iowa is pretty easy to get on welfare and assistance. At the coffee shop yesterday I talked to a guy that said he was living with his sister, he and she are black. I told him I was proud of him being a working man.
He said he can't stand his sister, she has 3 kids, no job, gets free food, free rent, watches TV all day, and is addicted to crystal meth.
I have 0 problems with people getting rides if they absolutely can't take care of themselves but situations like that just reinforce the worst kinds of sterotypes.Comment

He started by saying he was going to build a wall and make Mexico pay for it. Now it's a fence. In the end what we'll get is nothing more than an expensive land survey, no real change, and it will be paid for by American tax dollars.
The people that voted for Trump just got tricked. He promised to kick lobbyists out of Washington and instead - days after the election - hired them all to run his transition team. He is no building a wall, but instead a fence. And now it seems Trumpy is sizing back his deportation force.

Trump answered the wall question many many times. He said there is 2000 miles of border and about 1000 miles of it are natural borders. He said mexico will pay for that wall by renegotiating bad trade deals with deficit in excess of 50 billion per year. Wall will cost a fraction of that.
Fence was mentioned by some in RNC and trump said if a fence works in some places (i.e. likely transition zones or intended weak spots) so be it. But the big ass concrete wall will be built.

I disagree. He said he was going to build a wall. "It will be huge" he said. "It will keep out illegals" he said.
Now he is talking about building a fence. Less than one week after he was elected he back tracked from building a "huge wall that will keep illegals out" to "it will be a fence in some parts". We already have a fucking fence.
He is back tracking everything he promised. He said he was going to repeal Obamacare, but not he is saying he might not. Now he is saying he will have to figure it out once he is in the White House. WTF? I thought he had a plan to fix this? He doesn't have a plan and has no idea what he is going to do. He is just like any politician but worse because he has zero experience in politics and government. He made big promises, has no idea how to get any of it done, and will fall woefully short.
