    McCains biggest mistake ???

First. I am neither Republican or Democrat, conservative or liberal, just a simple thinking citizen that votes for a person that I believe has the best ticket to help this country.

I'm surprised no one has brought this up. McCains biggest mistake was in his VP choice. Not knocking Sarah Palin....it's just out of her category to be possible President should something happen to John McCain. McCain should have got on his knees and begged Condalesa Rice to be on the ticket. A woman and a black person with tons of experience worldwide. McCain probably would have walked away straight to the White House with that combination.

A McCain/Rice ticket would have been dynamite and hard to beat.

Just my humble opinion of John's biggest mistake.

    Peace......

Walked away with it? Probably not. The media keeps the people split 50/50 pretty nicely no matter what the circumstances. However, I do agree that Palin was not a good choice.

i think the general public is more afraid of Rice than they are of Palin. Mccain probably figured that since we 'elected' an idiot like Bush twice that he had a better chance of getting elected if he appealed to the idiot majority by adding the queen of the idiots to his ticket.

His biggest mistake was not being honest. He switched his policy to match the polls every other day. The so called Straight Talk Express was turning so much it pretty much derailed it's self. Obama has done things right.. Reguardles if you agree with his policies or positions, he stayed on message and stayed away from the attacks. Obama for the most part talked about what he would do as presidant not what McCain would do.

McCain was worried more about bashing Obama and catering to his limited base than cattering to the nation and telling us what "he" would do.
In November, you can vote for America's next president or its first dictator.

Definitely Sarah Palin. Don't get me wrong...she is a smokin' hot looking milf. But she is also a religious nut job.

Of course if he had picked Romney...it wouldn't have been much better. McCain/Lieberman I could have voted for.

I hate big govt. and paying all these taxes. They are taking damn near 40% of everything I make. It's fucking criminal. And the American people don't see it because years ago they instituted an ingenious thing called "payroll tax"

So 99.9% of the people never have to write a check to the govt. They never see it, so it doesn't exist. Their taxes are taken before they get their paycheck.

If they actually had to pay quarterly taxes like I do....there would be fucking revolution.

Which reminds me...I STILL haven't paid my 3rd quarter federal taxes. That will be a nice $19,000 check. I could sure think of a lot better things to do with MY money. But I guess I should at least be thankful that I got a "tax break" the last few years. What a joke.

Is there anyway to have a candidate who is fiscally conservative and socially liberal? Someone who won't steal my money and at the same time will stay out of my life?

                              No...

                                      From Palen today

"We realize that more and more Americans are starting to see the light there and understand the contrast. And we talk a lot about, OK, we?re confident that we?re going to win on Tuesday, so from there, the first 100 days, how are we going to kick in the plan that will get this economy back on the right track and really shore up the strategies that we need over in Iraq and Iran to win these wars?"

Not sure when we started a war with Iran, but this fool thinks we are in one now.

The same mistake every republican or politician makes....

Making remarks to the effect 120-250k annual is not considered 'rich' or well off by 'most' of America.

Maybe these fuckheads need to look at the AVERAGE ANNUAL HOUSEHOLD INCOME. It's fucking obvious they do not have a fucking clue what is going on in the country. Add in that McCain can't tell you how many cars, or houses he owns while people are being thrown out of theirs.
