Barack Obama birth certificate.

State law does not allow officials to release the birth certificate of a person to someone outside of the family.

                                                                                                                                                                            There were rumors that Obama was born in Kenya, where his father is from. The Constitution requires that the president be a natural born citizen of the U.S.

                                                                                                                                                                            While many sites and news organizations have released copies provided by the Obama campaign, the rumors have persisted.

                                                                                                                                                                            "There have been numerous requests for Sen. Barack Hussein Obama's official birth certificate. State law (Hawai'i Revised Statutes §338-18) prohibits the release of a certified birth certificate to persons who do not have a tangible interest in the vital record," DOH Director Dr. Chiyome Fukino said.

                                                                                                                                                                            "Therefore, I as Director of Health for the State of Hawai'i, along with the Registrar of Vital Statistics who has statutory authority to oversee and maintain these type of vital records, have personally seen and verified that the Hawai'i State Department of Health has Sen. Obama's original birth certificate on record in accordance with state policies and procedures. No state official, including Governor Linda Lingle, has ever instructed that this vital record be handled in a manner different from any other vital record in the possession of the State of Hawai'i," Fukino said.

                                                                                                                                                                            Multiple lawsuits were filed to try and force Obama to provide proof of citizenship. Earlier Friday, a southwest Ohio magistrate rejected a challenge to Obama's U.S. citizenship. Judges in Seattle and Philadelphia recently dismissed similar suits. "

Unfortunately a lot of people don't find the reverse (black guy voting for a black guy because hes black) racist due to the poor treatment of blacks throughout America's history but it is the same kind of thinking that keeps racism alive in America.

                                                                                                                                                                                    Though, of course black people are going to vote for someone who they feel they can relate to the most and will hold their interests moreso than other candidates, and Obama, being black is that candidate. Myself being white, I would still vote Obama if I could as I feel he is the better candidate for reasons which him being black, have nothing to do with.

                                                                                                                                                                                    As for Obama's white heritage.. there is no denying his is mixed. His mother is white, his father is black. However people who are of mixed race will often identify with the race they resemble the most, in Obama's case, thats black. I don't see any problem with that.
