    hey Paul

    I was under the impression that Paleolithic man had a few racial diversions, as you suggested in another thread. however that modern man, say from the Neolithic period forward, from 14-12K BCE was stable with the same thought patterns and genealogy as we have today.

    for instance American Indians were a Neolithic civilization until the 1860's I believe. this is a date I saw on a timeline about Indians... BTW the study of Amerind cultures is heavily politicalized and uses separate terms than other studies of man in other areas.

    these men and women were no different than us other than tools available. they had the same level mental and emotional sophistication as any modern man.

    the Africa gorilla was not discovered by western man until the 1860's, look to the level of intellect and slogan for thoughts around here and you can gauge the reaction for yourself... this had great perceptional influence on the Neolithic tribal members already in the states.

              At the beginning of the Paleolithic, hominids were found primarily in eastern Africa, east of the Great Rift Valley. Most known hominid fossils dating earlier than one million years before present are found in this area, particularly in Kenya, Tanzania, and Ethiopia.
              Difference Between Paleolithic and Neolithic. The Paleolithic age was the period from about 2 million BC to 10,000 BC. This era is also known as the Old Stone Age. The Neolithic age, also called the New Stone Age, covers a period from about 9000 BC to 3500 BC.
              Are you confusing Race and Species?

              Homo Sapiens left Africa around 120,000 to 70,000 years ago.

              More recently, modern humans began their dispersal out of Africa. Most experts conclude, from genetic and material evidence, that this occurred on a mass scale only within the last 60,000 years or so. The exception is in the Levant, where modern humans occupied the region about 120,000-100,000 years ago but did not seem to expand further than this. However, new evidence in the form of stone tools may cause a rethink of this scenario. Stone tools have been found in India dating to about 74,000 years old, in Yemen dating to between 70,000 and 80,000 years old, and in the United Arab Emirates dating to about 80,000 years old. Some of these tools resemble African Middle Stone Age technology, others are more like those used by Neanderthals in Europe and Homo sapiens and Neanderthals in the Levant. No human remains were found with the tools, but as Neanderthals have not been found in these regions, it is assumed the makers were modern humans.
              Paleolithic and Neolithic is a timeline and nothing to do with the species of Homo Sapiens.
              The difference is the level of stored information passed down to children. This is seen in the quality of tools and other things.

              Neolithic. (nē'ə-lĭth'ĭk) The period of human culture that began around 10,000 years ago in the Middle East and later in other parts of the world. It is characterized by the beginning of farming, the domestication of animals, the development of crafts such as pottery and weaving, and the making of polished stone tools.

                  video is kinda geared towards 3rd grade Paul??? and wow?? the Paleolithic has nothing do with people it's only a timeline????

                  'It extends from the earliest known use of stone tools, probably by Homo habilis initially, 2.6 million years ago, to the end of the Pleistocene around 10,000 BP. The Paleolithic era is followed in the Mesolithic.'

                  guess race is the human equivalent of species...

                      Those timelines represent the skills of the people. I made that clear. Race has nothing to do with species. We are the same species, split into different races by evolution of one species. To fit the environment we live in. This applies to all species, not just Hominids.
