It's the best example. A bear is like any living creature becomes very aggressive and unpredictable when he's cornered. He will attack even if he knows that he will die too. Right now we have a very similar situation, actually. Russia is surrounded by the enemy NATO bases. Do evil Russians surround the States with their bases? If you forgot, Putin has closed our base even on Cuba, because he thought that cold war is over. Do evil Russians fund coups in the US backyard?

For many years Russia has silently endured the NATO's village idiots while they were picking it with sticks, but everything has a limit. Russia is not Panama and not Iraq. It has more than enough military power to give a lesson to any bully.
