I completely agree it's our fault. In my case from now on, i just deal with reputable freelancer.

There is thing called "itrader" mod for vbulletin which does that, and it is used on many boards, tho admins here always refused to add due "how can be abused". Ofcourse, it can be abused and it shall not be taken as granted, but it still a helpful as additional information when deciding to do business with someone or not.

I deal with who I deal with because I trust them. Everyone else can suck a goat.

Scammers will just keep coming back because their is no lock on the door and anyone can just walk in.
A rep system might work but AVN have had years to develop it (a plugin) but they didn't bother because plugins need updating and like anyone can be bothered to update gfy more that once every couple of months.

Being ripped off and buying a product with "You've already paid, you're last on the list" mentality is probably just as bad.

I guess that's why you have to go with people and products that are known and pay a little more than settling for I guess a no body.

I think it's pointless. Why? Because it will turn into a 100 page thread that no one will read through. People will have to use the search function anyways, and if everyone who gets scammed has an individual thread about it the person being accused will at least have a forum to defend themselves on should they chose to do so. Some people are outright thieves and scammers, but in many cases there are two parts to a story.

Maybe implement a Shit List idea like on BHW. When someone feels they've been scammed, they call them out on the shitlist. There, they debate the case and a mod makes a decision (which usually results in one of them being banned).

Actually, I know first hand about people abusing the system, whether the trolls here constantly harassing my threads, creating a mockery of GFY & some how making it look like it could be me arguing. This isn't true Paul. Yes many things are said on GFY & some times trolls abuse the system. However, if a thread has been created, there's never been an abused time where without proof the poster has been allowed to stay on GFY.

A scammer forum is a good idea, before deals, you look down and see who's not good to work with & opening the thread, you would read the bad business deal.

Maybe 2 sub forums in a scam & good business forum, the second thread, for good business deals, the titles always just the name of the username or business.

I think any company or individual will come in and Explain them self. On many forum False accusation have turn out to be a Huge advertising at the end
