Had eye surgery today...

    Had eye surgery today...

    To correct an alignment problem (strabismus) I've had since I was born. This is the second surgery I've had in a year and a half. Feelin' like crap right now... can't really do much but look straight ahead... but at least I knew what I was going to go through this time. Apparently the procedure took an hour and a half to complete, but it only seemed like a minute or so between concious states. They used a breathing tube on me but I'm amazed I couldn't even tell when I woke up... usually my throat is sore as fuck when they've done that previously.

    My left eye looks like it got gouged hardcore or something...

    They used general anesthesia this time around... last time they had to use so much local anesthesia I puked hardcore as soon as I got home...

      wow dude, that sounds extreme

      hope that solves your problem for you and you can put the surgery behind you

      guess you are still able to use the computer while you are recovering, so that's cool

          Yeah it is pretty hardcore... before I had the first procedure done I was scared as shit thinking about needles and eyeballs and who knows if I'd feel it? Really the recovery is the hardest part... the surgery itself is really just a matter of going in and coming out.

          The weird thing about when I had it done with local anesthesia before, the doctor said I was complaining of discomfort during the surgery. I couldn't remember a damn thing from the procedure. I was like "WTF... I hope I didn't say anything totally fucked up to her while she was working!" She claims nothing terrible was said. But I can only imagine that if I was in enough pain, and fucked up on their medication, I'd probably let a few words slip that would not have benefitted the surgery. LOL

              did they tell you to limit your computer time? cuz that is one of the things that worries me about lasik that I am thinking of getting, I can't bear to be off of the computer for more than a few hours at a time

                  You understand my problem I can barely see through the blurr of the goo oozing out of my eyes! LOL But they didn't say I couldn't use the computer.
